Whole Self Counseling is dedicated to providing individualized support and interventions utilized will vary based on client need.
Counseling Approach:
My approach is rooted in Person-Centered Therapy, with a genuine therapeutic relationship serving as the foundation for all interventions. My primary approaches are informed by Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Gottman Method Couples Therapy. When appropriate, I also incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), along with interpersonal and mindfulness-based skill building.
Specialities:
I have experience working with a wide range of mental health concerns. Some presenting concerns that I most commonly work with are:
~Anxiety management (including panic attacks, excessive worrying, specific phobias, and social anxiety)
~Grief/loss/bereavement
~Trauma
~Relationship conflict issues / patterns with family, friends, or significant others/interpersonal skill development
~Navigating life transitions
~Stress and burn-out
~Difficulty recognizing and processing emotions and emotionally connecting to others
